THE LOGO

Our brother, our heart, our logo. Patrick Garvin, the name that will forever live in Bean League’s history. Pat was not only a founding member of our league; he was the heartbeat that continually drove us forward. When looking for inspiration to symbolize our league, there was no need to search any further than our brother Pat. His unwavering commitment, both to the game he loved and the friendships he cherished, made him the natural choice. His presence on and off the court was as bold as his game, standing tall as a pillar of camaraderie, and his confidence in the league's spirit was unshakable. Patrick wasn't just a league member; he was family, and his spirit lives on in every aspect of the Bean League.

Our league logo proudly bears the image of our brother as a tribute to his enduring impact. Patrick's memory not only serves as a reminder of the bonds that make our league unique but also as a source of strength, unity, and inspiration. With his silhouette as our emblem, we carry his legacy forward in every competition and every victory, as a symbol of the unwavering dedication that he embodied. It's more than just a logo; it's a testament to the profound impact one individual can have on a community and how, in the Bean League, we honor and celebrate the indomitable spirit of our dear brother, Patrick.

What the PG-24 Award Represents

The PG-24 Award isn't about having the highest-scoring team or being the most experienced fantasy manager. It's about embodying the spirit of confidence and courage that Patrick brought to our league. It's about taking bold risks, whether in drafting an underdog player or making a daring trade, and doing so with unwavering confidence in your decisions. It's about having the courage to support your fellow league members, even in defeat, and displaying good sportsmanship through triumphs and trials.

PG-24 AWARD

How the PG-24 Award Works

At the end of each season, our league members will have the opportunity to nominate and vote for the individual they believe best exemplifies the qualities of confidence and courage. This ensures that even newcomers can be recognized for their contributions. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or joining us for the first time, everyone has an equal chance to earn the PG-13 Award. It's not about the number of wins or losses; it's about the journey you take with the league and the positive impact you have on your fellow members.

T’s Tribute

Where do I even start? What a fuckin ride bro, what a fuckin life to lead. Man, I know you’re not here, but I feel you bro, I feel you here with me bro. Days go by, they move a bit slower, the exciting things aren’t quite as exciting as they were before, but I see the beauty in it all now. What an inspiration you are, a brother, a teammate, a friend. You inspired all of this. Every day, every single day I feel a purpose and I see life in a way I could never quite see it when you were here guiding me along the way. But I’m realizing that it’s you still right here guiding me every day now. Still shaking your head at me for being stubborn lol, but I’m listening. I’m taking every precious thing you’ve taught me, shown me a different way to approach, and believed that I was capable of and I’m putting that shit on paper. And I’m doing it in the most ignorant, non-give a fuck, PG-13 way lol! Thank you again brother for ALWAYS seeing the best in me even in the many moments that I could not find it for myself. I love you and miss you so much. But I know you’ve got my back as you’ve always had and I CANNOT WAIT until we meet again bro. US VS THE WORLD!

Cheezy’s Tribute

I miss you, Brother. I can't really put into words the difference I've felt since you've been gone. Most days are still rough. More than I'd like to admit, sometimes. Not only were we brothers, but you were also my best friend. I could tell you anything and I knew you always would be there if I needed you. Some times we had, huh? If not for you, I wouldn't have done half of the spontaneously stupid things we did that usually got us into more trouble than it was worth, but it was fun. I keep waiting for a witty text on a random Tuesday from you... It just truly hasn't been the same. I want you to know that you really did have such an impact on so many peoples lives, and in the spirit of that, I'm so happy to be apart of this league and to be representing your story and our League. I hope that we can honor you in this way. Love you , bro! GWGF

Los’ Tribute

Ok let’s be real u know words can’t explain how much i miss u bruh. But i know you feel me when I write this. The times we spent together really have me thinking, because as much as I want to have your mindset, it’s jus hard. But you told me “Los, we have the same life bro, the difference is I’m white and your black, thats it, so to stop bitchin. That is why we call each other brothers. From then on i had another brother, or my bad, a brother from another mother. You really don’t understand how much I enjoyed the time we spent together. You made every day better, whether it was just a laugh or on some real shit, u made each day feel longer. I wish had more time with you, as much I’ve lost in my life I just wish I could sit on my porch with you one more time. From names like stiffy to master-p. The laughs and moments from basketball, ”Zach, why the fuck did u give it to Keffer for the game-winner?“, “Bruce your job is to rebound, rebound, DON’T SHOOT, and rebound. Man, the funniest moment is when you tell the left-handed floater story. I swear you made it so dramatic lol. Like a movie but it was reality, and that’s what we’ll have no matter what. You will always be my brother, my family. I can’t explain how much I miss u man, but I know u with me all the way! That 10-24 combo is real as it was on and off the court, and we both know that!

“Nobody...

Pat: Russ, how the fuck you missed that lay up? 🤣🤣🤣.”

Love you bro!

— Russ

"From giving me shit every time I saw him about getting wait listed at UF to beating my ass senior year in 1v1 every day at gym, Pat loved talking trash. But the only thing he loved more was being there for you no matter what. I’ll never forget what he meant to me and so many others lucky enough to call him a friend. Love and miss you bro."

— Adam

“PG, you got me into the league and molded me into a champion. It was only fitting that I won my first ring against the co-founder and my mentor. It solidified my spot, and finally earned me some respect from the commish as a threat! I’ll always owe you for giving me a chance to play and to make all these friendships in The Bean League! RIP legend!”
